Following on from last week’s rocket day, the children have continued to enjoy their science learning.   All year groups have had the chance to share their learning with Mr McClements, Ms Dowse, Ms Johnson and Mrs Roche who have visited all classrooms.  They have observed lots of great learning across school, with children engaging in practical science.  Children were able to explain their findings using their scientific vocabulary.    We look forward to sharing our science learning after half term as part of our celebration assemblies.

This week has been children’s mental health week in school, classes have completed a range of activities to raise awareness, ensuring all our children are able to talk about their feelings and know where they can get help.  Our pastoral team continue to offer support before school and throughout the school day.  They offer a drop in during unstructured times to ensure support is readily available.

As we prepare for the half term break, we are pleased to announce that the council have once again agreed to provide vouchers for those families that are in receipt of benefit related school meals.  These will be delivered via email at the start of next week. You can check entitlement at: https://www.tameside.gov.uk/schoolmeals

As a celebration of this half term’s learning, we are inviting children to come in their own clothes on Friday.  During the day, we will be collecting food donations for Sandwich Angels.  There will also be a food stall available after school with lots of tasty dishes to help provide further support to this important charity,

Following the devastating news about the Earthquake in Turkey and Syria, we will also be collecting donations to support this appeal.  If anyone is able to donate please send your contributions into school.  This money will be used to provide support to those impacted in the aftermath of the earthquakes.  For more information, please click on the link https://donate.redcross.org.uk/appeal/turkey-syria-earthquake-appeal

Wishing you all an enjoyable and relaxing weekend

Unfortunately, several cars have been using the pedestrian gate during morning and evening drop off.  These gates should not be used between the hours of 8 and 4.  Vehicles during this time pose a serious risk to the safety of our children.
