Week – 13.10.23

We are extremely proud of our children’s achievements in the wider curriculum.  As our children come to the end of their current topics, we have seen them applying their science skills to their creations. Y3 will be using their knowledge of circuits to add special effects to their models of the Iron Man. Within other year groups, our children have continued to engage in investigative science and embraced the challenges of our computing curriculum.  Check out a selection of this week’s learning on or Facebook page or our Twitter account.

As you are aware, our children love learning outdoors.  We are currently working with OPAL (Outdoor play and learning) to increase opportunities for our children to make use of our outdoor space.  We are looking for any parents with links to the automotive or building trade to help us resource this area of school.  We are currently looking for pallets, tyres, scaffolding boards and other things that children can use for construction.  We are also looking for donations of outdoor toys, such as vehicles, prams and even tents!!!

Following the half term break, we will be holding our first celebration assembly, with our Froggy Mascot. Each half term, we will select a small group of children for our special Froggy STAR awards.  Parents of those nominated are invited into school, invitations will be sent out next week.  Please note all children will receive our special awards by the end of the school year.

Finally, we would like to remind parents that Parents’ Evening takes place on Wednesday 18th October.  This will be a face-to-face event to enable you to speak with your child’s teacher and review your child’s progress. Please ensure you have booked your appointment in the MCAS app.

Wishing you an enjoyable and relaxing weekend.
