This week we have had the pleasure of taking our Year 6 children to Robinwood. The children behaved impeccably and were a credit to the school and their families. I am extremely proud of the way the children challenged themselves, pushing themselves out of their comfort zone to tackle new things. Over the next few weeks, we will share these experiences with our younger pupils during our assemblies, thinking about how we can support each other to overcome our fears.
On Monday we will relaunch of our before and after school clubs. Please note that we are unable to offer morning provision if you have not been successful in gaining a place. Please note we also offer before and after school tuition for targeted pupils, places are strictly limited and change on a termly basis. If your child has received an invite, we would ask you to confirm as soon as possible, so we are able to reallocate this valuable support. Children attending morning clubs can access a free breakfast, provided by Greggs. We are extremely grateful to our parent volunteers who support our breakfast club.
Next week, Froggy will be coming to school to recognise some of the children’s achievements from the autumn term, we look forward to sharing these via our year group pages over the next couple of weeks. Please note that all children will receive an award by the end of the school year.
Many staff will be joining Busy Bees on a sponsored walk for Lila this evening. Money raised will go to her family to support them during this difficult time. If any families wish to donate please click on the following link Fundraiser by Joanne Wood : Walk for Lila (gofundme.com). Lila’s funeral is due to take place on Friday 26th January. Further details will be sent out next week.
