Firstly, I would like to thank those families that joined in our act of remembrance today. We are proud of the way our school community have supported each other during this difficult time. If anyone would like to make a donation in memory of Lila, her family have asked them to be sent to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. We are currently working with Lila’s friends to plan a tribute to Lila in our school grounds.
This week all children had the opportunity to watch ‘Aladdin’, the children loved participating in the show and lots of fun was had by all! We are extremely grateful to our Flowery Friends team who covered the cost of the event, ensuring all children went home with a tasty treat too! Tickets go on sale for our next event, ‘Love yourself Disco’ on Thursday.
Over the last few weeks, we have expanded our forest school provision to create more outdoor learning opportunities within our school grounds. The children have loved exploring these areas alongside our new resources. Please can we remind all families to ensure the children are prepared for the outdoors. Due to the continued wet weather please can we ask all families to send a pair of wellies that can be stored in school. We are collecting donations of wellies and waterproofs in school.
Within our assemblies, we have been exploring what is special about Flowery. All classes have explored the values that are important to them, recognising the importance of caring for each other and the importance of respect both within school and within our local community.

Can you help?
We are currently collecting plastic milk bottle tops to help Yorkshire Cancer Research in memory of a colleague from Enquire Learning Trust. These can be any colour and will be recycled by the charity and then made into plastic playground equipment, garden furniture and children’s toys. Given the size of our school I’m hopeful that we can help.
