Firstly, I would like to wish all those celebrating Lunar New Year,  a lovely time with their family and friends. Kung Hei Fat Choi! If you would like to be involved in the celebrations, there are lots of events taking place across Manchester. Please see details of the events taking place below.

This week has been children’s mental health week in school, classes have completed a range of activities to raise awareness, ensuring all our children are able to talk about their feelings and know where they can get help.  Please encourage the children to talk through their feelings at home.  Our pastoral team continue to offer support before school and throughout the school day.  They offer a drop in during unstructured times to ensure support is readily available.

All families in receipt of benefit related free school meals should now have received a voucher for the half term break.  Please contact the office if you have any issues. If you are currently in receipt of universal credit and have not received vouchers, please speak with a member of the office team to check eligibility.  Likewise, if there are any families who require support at this time please speak to a member of our pastoral team.

Following the half term break, we will be launching our new spring menu, offering new dishes such as Naan Bread Pizza, Meat Free Dippers and Tuna Arrabiata Pasta, alongside many of our favourite dishes.  There are also a range of new deserts, such as strawberry flapjack!  We would encourage all children to try them, especially those on benefit related FSM or children in reception, Year 1 and 2 who can eat free! Just book through the app.

Finally, as we finish for the half term, I would like to thank you for your continued support.

Wishing you all a lovely half term break.

Mrs Silk
