FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
04.07.25
This week, I have had the pleasure of attending the Y5 residentials to Whitby, this is a fantastic opportunity that Enquire Learning Trust have provided free of charge to our pupils. Our pupils have loved exploring the coast, visiting the Royal Lifeboat Museum, taking a boat rode and much more! The behaviour of the Y5 children has been noteworthy, everyone we have met during the residentials have commented on the children’s enthusiasm, their kindness to each other and their impeccable manners. I am extremely proud of the way the children have overcome their fears, many sleeping away from home for the first time. Likewise, I am extremely grateful to the staff who have supported this event. Well done to you all!
This week our Y6 pupils visited their new high schools, it was so lovely to see so many of our past pupils supporting them as they embark on their next stage of their educational journey. Children across school have also been informed of their new teachers and beginning to visit their new classrooms ready for the new term. We are pleased to welcome Mr Ridley who will be joining our teaching team from September. He is already a familiar face around school!!
On Monday 21st July, we will be sending out our end of year reports through the My Child at School App. Please ensure you are able to access the app and update your contact details. Paper copies can be requested from the office.
We are excited to announce the launch of our brand-new Instagram page, which will serve as our main platform for sharing updates, celebrations, and snapshots of school life from September. This will replace our previous Twitter feed. Follow us on Instagram to stay connected with all the wonderful things happening at school — from classroom highlights to special events and everything in between! @floweryfieldprimary.
Finally, we would like to send our best wishes to Mrs Greenwood who starts her maternity leave today. We are extremely grateful for her work this year and hope she manages to get a well deserved rest before baby is here to meet us!
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
Mrs Silk
Traffic on Site
Over the recent weeks we have seen an increase in traffic accessing our site which poses an increased risk to our children. Please can we remind all families that no cars should be left unattended and that the Flowery Centre and School car park should not be used. If you are using the drop off, please adhere to the strict 5mph speed limit and ensure that children are only dropped off in the designated drop off zone.
Uniform
As we prepare for the new school year, please can we remind all parents of expectations regarding uniform All children are required to adhere to our uniform policy, which includes school shoes. We have noticed an increase in children wearing expensive items to school, these are not permitted. Please can we also remind parents that hoodies should only be worn on PE days, as this forms part of our PE kit, not our school uniform. Details of our uniform can be found on our website: School Uniform | Flowery Field Primary School
Wrap around Provision
Due to the number of families requiring wrap around provision, we are looking at extending our provision further in September. Please speak to the office if you require places with either before or after school for the new school year. We are offering families, a complimentary trial session during the summer term. Please book this through the office.
