FROGGY STARS - STRIVE -TEAM - AMBITION - RESILIENCE = SUCCESS
Week – 12.12.25
Firstly, I would like to thank families for their kindness. We know this time of year can be difficult for many and have been touched by the generosity shown by members of our community. Monday will be the final day for any further food donations for sandwich angels and monetary donations for our partner school in Uganda. Within our classrooms children have spoken about thankfulness, patience, kindness and respect and discussed how they can show these in the lead up to Christmas. All children have been tasked with designing a Christmas Star to help light up our school with their acts of kindness.
We would like to thank all those families that have attended our open days over the last 2 weeks. I’m sure you are all incredibly proud of their learning and impressed by their depth of knowledge. As we approach the holidays, we invite children to consolidate their learning further in a creative way over the half-term break, by producing something inspired by their geograhy topic. Further details will follow in a letter next week.
A huge well done to our learners from The Pad who have worked collaboratively to design, make and sell a variety of Christmas treats. They have used this experience to gain real-life experience of the world of business. Watch out Sir Alan Sugar!
On Thursday we welcomed our EYFS families to our festive sing along events. It was great to see how much the children have progressed over the term. Our Y2 children will be performing their version of the nativity story next week, complete with festive sing along within other year groups. We are incredibly proud of them all!
We are excited to announce that Santa will be making a special visit to our Reception and Nursery children on Monday 15th Dec. Our friends at First Bus Rochdale have kindly facilitated a Bee Network 'Santa Bus', complete with Santa himself. Children will board the bus, sing a song with Santa and his Elf and receive a small gift.
Finally, I would like to thank our amazing kitchen team who have cooked over 400 Christmas Dinners! We’ve had a lovely time celebrating with our friends. The photos of this event reflect the fun that was had by all!
Wishing you a lovely weekend
Mrs Silk
